Jackson Square Dusk

This is beautiful Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. St. Louis Cathedral is always such an imposing sight to see. I like its angles.

Blues Store

I’m not sure why photographing this store kept calling to me every time I drive into Clarksdale, Mississippi from the east, but I finally pulled over to take some photos. I think it’s awesome!

Jerry Lee Lewis’ Birthplace

This is the bedroom where Jerry Lee Lewis grew up in Ferriday, Louisiana. Now a museum run by his sister Frankie Jean, this place has a personal and intimate feel not found in most famous people’s homes. Frankie Jean was a wonderful host and provided a fascinating incite into his life and times.

Muddy Waters

While this sharecropper’s cabin is only a representation of the one that McKinley Morganfield, whom we know as Muddy Waters, was born in, it does pay tribute to this great blues musician in his hometown of Rolling Forks, Mississippi.

Po’ Monkey

This is Willie “Po’ Monkey” Seaberry. He is the owner of the infamous Po’ Monkey’s Lounge in Merigold, Mississippi. Po’ Monkey’s is one of the last rural juke joints in the country and has been standing since 1963. Willie is a kind and gracious host who runs a tight ship at his Thursday night parties. To see what his place looks like from the outside, follow the link here.

Mallory-Neely House

Built in 1852, this beautiful mansion can be found in the Victorian Village neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee.

Wyatt’s Bar-B-Que

This is Wyatt’s Bar-B-Que in Atlanta, Georgia. If you ever see a place that looks like this, you should definitely eat there. Amazing ribs by the way, but a very cool looking place too.

Georgia Street Art

I found this beautiful street art in the lovely town of Newnan, Georgia. I really just liked the colors!

Senoia, Georgia

This is the main drag in beautiful downtown Senoia, Georgia. All you Walking Dead fans may recognize it as the town of Woodbury. IMG_0660

Summer Rope Swing

This girl in mid-air is having a blast on a rope swing in Honey Island Swamp in Slidell, Louisiana. Hope there aren’t any gators around!

Tropical Isle

This is the famous Tropical Isle bar on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was a great time of the evening to catch the neon and the gas lamps.

French Quarter Horse Drawn Carriage

I do love the sound of hooves on cobbled streets – they go well together. This shot is in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop

One day I will capture this beautiful building the way I want, but this isn’t bad. This is Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana.

French Quarter Dusk

Every once in a while, a photo comes out exactly how you want it to. This was the perfect time of day to capture this corner in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Plantation Statue

This statue sits on the grounds of Houmas House on the River Road in Louisiana. The clouds were so pretty.

Houmas Billiard Room

I love this room in Houmas House on River Road in Louisiana. It’s very manly!

Houmas House

This is the beautiful Houmas House on River Road in Louisiana. Once a big sugar plantation house, now it is open for tours and exudes old southern charm.

Antebellum Natchez

This is beautiful Stanton Hall in Natchez, Mississippi. Natchez is a beautiful town full of Antebellum homes, and this has always been one of my favorites.
