Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop

One of my favorite bars to photograph in New Orleans, this is Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop.

  1. The yellow lantern glow is so welcoming. Just the opposite of abrasive fluorescent lighting.

    • Thanks, it is a welcoming place. I used to live 2 blocks from there and it was always a great place to stop for a drink!

    • It is very unique. It is actually a French Colonial building, unlike most of the “French” Quarter which is actually Spanish architecture. It survived two massive fires and sits as one of the oldest standing buildings in New Orleans.
