Statue of George Rogers Clark

Inside the memorial from yesterday is a statue of the man himself. The walls are covered in murals depicting this daring and fascinating campaign. In Vincennes, Indiana.

George Rogers Clark NHP

This is the main memorial at George Rogers Clark National Historic Park in Vincennes, Indiana. Built on the site of Fort Sackville, it is the largest memorial on any American battlefield. Before this visit, I had never heard of Clark or this campaign which brought the Northwest Territories under American rule in 1779. A fascinating place.
