Inside the memorial from yesterday is a statue of the man himself. The walls are covered in murals depicting this daring and fascinating campaign. In Vincennes, Indiana.
This is the main memorial at George Rogers Clark National Historic Park in Vincennes, Indiana. Built on the site of Fort Sackville, it is the largest memorial on any American battlefield. Before this visit, I had never heard of Clark or this campaign which brought the Northwest Territories under American rule in 1779. A fascinating place.
Everyone remembers The Alamo, but these other missions in San Antonio, Texas are just as beautiful. I love the detail on this door panel at Mission San Jose.
I remember shooting this walkway years ago on black and white film. Do you remember film? Someday we’ll be asked that. The point is that I really like this walkway in Mission Concepcion in San Antonio, Texas.
The Missions of San Antonio, Texas are some of my favorites. I loved the history and the architecture. Today was not the best day for photography, but the buildings make up for the sky.
