The weather sure was nice in Toronto when I was there – cool and clear and good to catch the colors of Kensington Market.
This is right around dusk in Hollywood, California. You can see the Hollywood Walk of Fame stars in the sidewalk, the beautifully lit El Capitan Theatre and the infamous Roosevelt Hotel in the background. I like this shot of Hollywood.
This is a shot looking up Beale Street in fabulous downtown Memphis, Tennessee.
I took this shot as dusk was settling in and the lights were coming on in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is a magical time of day, and I loved the light coming out of this shop and the ironwork on the building. I used to live a few blocks away from where I took this, and I loved walking through the Quarter every day.
This is a beautiful motorcycle and I couldn’t help trying to catch it in the glow of all of that amazing neon on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee. I like neon and I’m getting better at photographing it. My tripod would have helped, but I used a jeep bumper instead.
This is a shot of the quiet city streets of Quebec, with the imposing and beautiful Chateau Frontenac looming in the background. When the rest of the city is either out partying or off to bed, I’m still out with my camera.
These are the streets of Old Montreal just as the rain was subsiding. I loved being there because it was so quiet. It was just me and a few brave umbrella toting souls with the whole street to ourselves.
This is Place Jacques Cartier in Old Montreal. It is a beautiful place to walk, have a coffee and people watch.
This is a street scene from Old Montreal. The clouds were just about to break, the sun was shining above me and people were out in droves.
This is a street scene in old Toronto. It just seemed to capture the essence of dusk in the big city, a day just ending and a night full of possibility.
This is the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto with the CN Tower looming in the background. Two cultural icons, one old and one new, in the same shot.
