Happy New Year everyone, sorry I haven’t been around but I’ve had a lot of things on my plate lately. Here is a shot from Bramwell, West Virginia. You can read more about it in my blog post here
This is Morant’s Curve – a lovely spot near Lake Louise in Banff National Park in Alberta. One of these days I’ll be there when a train is coming through!
I think a lot of people like the caboose as much as I do. This one was resting in rural West Virginia.
This is the White Pass and Yukon Railway Train pulled into the station in Carcross, Yukon Territory in Canada. It looked like a model train set to me.
What a cool old car. I love stuff like this. this is just a different angle on what I posted yesterday, but it seemed so different I thought it was worth a post. This is in Goldfield, Nevada.
Such amazing scenery and some great old buildings and vehicles. This was in Goldfield, Nevada.
This awesome rail car is sitting in Rhyolite, a mining ghost town just outside of Death Valley National Park in California.
This is a great view of the Bow River, the train tracks and the mountains behind. This is on the Bow Valley Parkway near Lake Louise in Banff National Park in Alberta.
This is the stationmaster at the train in Wonderland on the Ocean City, New Jersey boardwalk. I actually had to ask if I was too big to ride that ride (turns out I wasn’t!).
This is the beautiful Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal located in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. I think it is such a cool building definitely harking back to an earlier time.
This is Broad Street Station in Newark, New Jersey. It is definitely a grey November morning and winter is coming. I like this shot because it looks like November.
It was great to see the moon rise over the mountains in Jasper, Alberta. The Canadian National (CN) train added so much to the placement of the photo.
This is UP 25884, a beautiful but aging Union Pacific Caboose in Petaluma, California.
